Meet Our Chapter
"Home away from home"
My name is Jessica Allin, and as the 2019 Chapter President, it is with great pride that I welcome you to the Iota Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Since our establishment on the Laurier campus in 2002, the sisters of the Iota Theta Chapter have emerged as leaders within, and beyond the Laurier community. Our members are committed to excellence and show a continuous desire to serve one another and their surrounding communities.
Founded in 1872 and spanning more than 170 collegiate chapters, Alpha Phi is one of the oldest and largest women’s fraternities in the world. Boasting a membership of over 250,000 “sisters,” Alpha Phi provides an immediate connection to an extensive network. We offer a rich history full of longstanding traditions, unbreakable bonds, and an unparalleled experience.
As lifelong sisters of Alpha Phi, we strive to uphold our shared ideals of sisterhood, scholarship, character, generosity, and innovation. We aim to aid in the development of young women into well-rounded leaders that actively participate both inside and outside of our organization.
Upon joining Alpha Phi in the second semester of my first year, I immediately felt as though I had found my home away from home. Alpha Phi’s high ideals are the foundation and guiding characteristics that have shaped many women before me, while having made me the woman I am today. Alpha Phi has taught me to challenge myself and to grow as a person, all with the support of my sisters. Alpha Phi will always be very close to my heart, and given this opportunity, it is something that I hope to share.
On behalf of the Iota Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi, I appreciate your time to learn about our beloved sisterhood! We hope to see you soon.
Love and AOE,
Jessica Allin Chapter President
