Meet Our Chapter

"home away from home"

My name is Jessica Mangotich, and I am the Chapter President of the Iota Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am honoured and grateful to serve an organization of empowered women who inspire me every single day.

Founded in 1872 at the Alpha Chapter of Syracuse University, Alpha Phi has developed over 170 collegiate chapters, being one of the oldest and largest women’s fraternities in the world. Alpha Phi is proud to have a network of over 250,000 members across North America who are bonded by our values of sisterhood, character development, generosity and innovation. We offer a rich history, full of deep-rooted tradition, everlasting bonds, and an incomparable

Rushing Alpha Phi in my first year at Laurier has always been important to me. Coming from an all-girls school, I knew that I needed to find a group of inspired, like-minded women to surround myself with. I found more than I could have ever hoped for in Alpha Phi. My involvement in the Chapter quickly became one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have made some of my best friends and greatest mentors in Alpha Phi. The opportunities have given me a chance to give back to my community and become a leader in more ways than one. Most importantly, the love and support of our Chapter has been a constant motivator towards achieving
academic, social and personal success.

I will forever be grateful for the experiences and opportunities that Alpha Phi has provided me. I hope to share a similar experience with current and future sisters.

Love and AOE,

Jessica Mangotich
